Randy and I love talking about our work. We especially love swapping stories about those public speaking moments when we end up with egg on our face. (My personal favorite is Randy’s story about competing with a Tatcho Bar. That’s not a typo. It’s a thing.)

Our Top 5 Takeaways from 2021:
No matter how much you’ve used Zoom, make sure you know how to “mute” yourself, and make sure you’re muted when you need to be.
Mare belched during a conference appearance. ‘Nuf said.No matter how well you know the material, review it - even for a few minutes - before a workshop.
Randy neglected this important step, and was out of sync with his slides.Always proofread your printed collateral - no matter how sure you are that it’s A-OK
Mare handed out a worksheet with the word “A**” accidentally printed on it. Fortunately, the client had a good sense of humor.Go into meetings with a list of items to discuss.
Even if it’s an informal meeting, knowing what you want to discuss is a huge time saver.Tell your attendees what they need before the meeting begins.
Mare found this is a great way to save time, too. Don’t wait until someone doesn’t have something to make a note of it.
